It has been a rather uneventful summer. I held my first sleepover with more than 2 people, that was fun. I learned that marshmallows make a rather funny noise when they hit people. My hair is now about 5 inches shorter than it was. I went hiking near the Boundry Waters, and that was *fricken amazing*! I went on a car ride to pick up my brother from Massachusetts and spent over 60 hours in a car. Found out on said trip that if I don't get enough exercise I get extreamly fidgity and OCD. My brother and I made some rather good dumpling things that we found in the freezer and had no idea when or where we got them. And I finally finished weeding the yard today, it took a total of 9 hours to pull up all the crab grass and its relatives.
My garden is awesome! A bit flawed, but aweome none the less. We planted our beans too close together so it's a little hard to get in there, but whatever. We planted 15 cucumber plants (12 vine, 3 bush) so we have cucumbers coming out our ears. We have a deer that likes to come in and nibble at things, so we now have our first scarecrow ever! That was exciting (well, not the deer part, the scarecrow part). It's made of 2 sticks, my dad's shirt, and my pants; not the most fancy thing but it seems to be working. Ingrid (one of my peppermint plants) is going bananas and I swear if you watch you can see it grow she's growing so fast. I found Inga (another one of my peppermints) growing after I thought she died last year and transfered her to a pot. She's not doing too hot, but I think she'll be fine.
Enough about gardening and stuff. Well, that's my summer so far. I'm starting work at the Ren. Fest. in about 2 weeks, so that's exciting. Peace, happiness, and peppermints!
